- Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2017This book is just what I was looking for. It teaches you how to program in R and does so with simple, easy to understand examples that you can try for yourself in R and RStudio. If you already know the R language and environment then this book is not for you. If you want to learn to do advanced statistical analysis or graphics with R, then this book is not for you. If you just want to learn how to do fairly basic programming functions in R because you are just beginning to learn R, then this book is definitely for you!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2018This covers a surprising variety of topics in R from the very basic to the more sophisticated such as linear models and anova. It also discusses user-friendly interfaces such as the very important R Studio. The breadth of topics is encyclopedic which is amazing for a book of this type. This is written in a clear and easy to understand manner with lots of examples. This book is one of the most complete and friendly books on R I have encountered.

With the methods teached in this book, the reader is able to work with R by himself and to search for new R applications in the help files and in the net.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2022Dummy series usually good. This one skips material and examples are not very good and difficult for beginners to execute. Other much better guides available.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!
It's a great book. This is the second programming language that I'm learning and I have to say that this book made it super easy. It's Day 2 of reading (I only read it for 3 hours so far) and I've already got the basics down.

Great start-point for beginners, and also useful if you already know something, and are looking to understand R better. Not for advanced.
