Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up or Peter and Wendy is J. M. Barrie's most famous work, in the form of a 1904 play and a 1911 novel. Both versions tell the story of Peter Pan, a mischievous yet innocent little boy who can fly, and has many adventures on the island of Neverland that is inhabited by mermaids, fairies, Native Americans and pirates. Peter has many stories involving Wendy Darling and her two brothers, his fairy Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, and the pirate Captain Hook. The play and novel were inspired by Barrie's friendship with the Llewelyn Davies family. Barrie continued to revise the play for years after its debut until publication of the play script in 1928.

The formatting of this book is terrible. The typeface is incredibly tiny- I’d compare it to a 7 pt type. The chapters start in the middle of pages. The ToC doesn’t contain page numbers. It’s worthless for my middle-aged eyes.

This is not the Disney version of Peter Pan! The whole tale is a little dark. The book reads from the perspective point of view as if writer was telling the story and explaining it!

Read a few pages to my grand kids each time they visit

I ordered this for my child who learned to read last year. I thought it would be a nice Christmas gift and was excited to see him read a classic children's story. However, the item that arrived was photocopied from a library book and very difficult to follow, with many random characters of print added, no page numbers, and blurry pictures. Once I opened the package, I knew I couldn't give this is a gift.

I still ended up reading the book to my kids and they enjoyed the story. So it was worth it in that regard. The intellectual property is good, but the physical copy is not. I could recommend it just for the story, but not for gift giving or collecting as a book on your shelf.

While the story is fine, this edition is just not worth it.

This edition seems like someone 'cut and pasted' and then photocopied the results. You can even see the lines on the page where the copying was done.

Although it claims to be illustrated, there is not a single picture in the book. The review says this refers to another print edition, but you'd think there would be some accuracy.

And while there is not a single page number in this book, there are odd page numbers referred to in the text that seem to refer to some other edition or where there were supposed to be pictures or something. Really strange.

For example, in chapter 8, at random points there are references in brackets to pages 126 and 127 between paragraphs and to pages 129 and 130 in brackets in the middle of paragraphs. I'd list what pages these were on, but as I said before - there are no page numbers on the actual book pages.

Not sure if this is a print of a version meant for pre-publication review, galley proof, or something. But I should have ordered a 'regular' book.

The story itself does not seem to be impacted. This book was bought for my daughter and I hope she won't find the random insertion of page numbers to be annoying. I know I would hate it.

(and yes, I used the "Look inside" feature. The problems were not noticable as I scrolled the first few pages.)

While this book is amazing, and I like the cover, I had no idea the print would be so small. So disappointing! I'm a teacher, and I got it for one of my fourth graders to read. I hope it's not too small for her. Why would the publisher do that? :(

This is a very poorly formatted edition of a wonderful book. There was a great deal of blank space on each page and the line spacing seemed strange. This made the book unpleasant to read.
