Purchase options and add-ons
Translated more often than any other book except the Bible, the Tao Te Ching has been a spiritual guide for centuries, helping millions find peace within themselves, with each other, and with the natural world around them. Written in workbook style, complete with exercises, questionnaires, journal-keeping techniques, and affirmations, The Tao of Inner Peace translates the ancient Eastern philosophy into a plan for contemporary Western living. Diane Dreher, Ph.D., shows the way to:
• Bring greater joy, fulfillment, and creativity to daily life
• Heal the body and spirit
• Build self-acceptance and self-esteem
• Resolve conflict
• Reverse negative cycles of emotion
• Understand life as a process of changes and challenges
An essential handbook for mental wellness, The Tao of Inner Peace adapts the principles of Tao to today’s world, showing us how to integrate the many facets of our everyday lives to create a balanced, dynamic, harmonious whole.

“Especially important are [Dreher’s] examples of individual action and her many annotations… her lessons are quite useful. This is an important subject… and one that promises to bring a renewal of environmental consciousness.”—Booklist
“Filled with anecdotes, questions to stimulate discussion, guidelines for change, exercises to promote positive peacefulness, with lots of Tao philosophy scattered throughout supporting each phase of [Dreher’s] plan.”—Santa Cruz Sentinel

I've read this book more times than I could count and have given it as a gift to family or friends who are going through a hard time for whatever reason.
I use a highlighter as I read, then when I reread, I just go to "my" highlights when I'm in in a slump. But each time I read "The Tao of Inner Peace" I end up highlighting more and more.
I highly recommend this book for anybody, any age, and financial bracket. Religion has nothing to do with the way this book is/was written.

Amazing, thank you!
The book itself is an awesome way of thinking about life and the certain obstacles that come forth with it
I will be re-reading most of this book again and doing some of the relaxation exercises
Having read various versions of the "Tao Teh Ching" several times this is a good companion to it and puts the original into a modern context
Certainement, j'y reviendrai encore !
