From the Inside Flap
What if you could stop yourself squashing ideas and start growing them instead?
What if you could help everyone at work to be creative?
What if you stopped talking about how important creativity is and started to take practical steps to make it happen.
But most of all....
What if there was a step-by-step guide that showed you exactly how to do it?
Instinctively we all know that creativity at work is important, but for many of us it feels either difficult or intimidating.
Sticky Wisdom delivers powerful insights that take creativity out of the hands of 'creative people' and puts it back where it belongs, with all of us. It breaks creativity out into six practical behaviours and shows how every one of us - not just the wacky geniuses - is packed with creative potential. We can start a creative revolution by adopting six behaviours:
Freshness
Greenhousing
Realness
Momentum
Signalling
Courage
These are the behaviours you can identify in highly creative and high-performing teams. These are the behaviours that you can start applying today to revolutionize your life.
Suddenly creativity isn't such a mystery. Sticky Wisdom makes it easy to talk about, easy to practise and easy to remember. Above all, it makes it easy to get on and do!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2015This has been on the top of my titles for any Innovator since I took a WhatIf workshop. I'm not sure why it has not been updated and reprinted though.
Theory, techniques and tons of case studies from real companies makes it an interesting reading experience that sticks well beyond this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2015Having worked with ?What IF! some years ago and in all honesty at the time I was not that impressed I was reluctant to purchase this book. But based on a review by my coach I was impressed with some of the way the theories and processes were presented.
If you work in the creative industry you believe as its your job to come up with new ways of looking at things you are good at it, but in all honesty you always take the path of least resistance.
This book did open up ways of taking a new stance on your daily tasks and was of great benefit to me and my team.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2011I really enjoyed this book and found it truly fascinating. The information conveyed was indeed very "sticky", and it certainly stuck to me. Great resource and very imaginative.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2013Sticky Wisdom offers a great basic template for any company or organisation that takes innovation serious. The 6 basic elements are clearly explained and richly illustrated. Moreover, this book really stimulates your gusto to start innovating right away.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2007I borrowed this book from my friend a while ago and read it with a great pleasure. This book provides some interesting insights on how to be creative and positive person. I liked it a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and practical reading
If you are looking for a theoretical or academic book on innovation, this is NOT the book for you. If you are looking for a practical book, full of ideas - read on!
This book is well written and provides a lot of really useful and practical insights into the innovation process in real life. The one thing that shines through is the fact that this book is written by practitioners. The 6 main threads that run through the text come from the sharp end of being in the innovation business. As such, they have a certain "common sense" feel to them and I recognise many of them from my own working experience. The section on "Courage", in particular, I found very thought provoking. The examples used throughout the book help bring the material to life and help ground the advice in the real world.
Very easy to read and compelling. I read it over a weekend. Highly recommended for anyone interested in innovation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sticky Wisdom - Aptly Titled
This book is a must for the radical free thinking would be entrepreneur or business manager who wants to be more creative. It will challenge a lot of your day to day work place attitudes and behaviour patterns. It will fly in the face of conventional business practice and beghavioural models. It will make you see life differently - and you will take a lot of the ideas out of the work situation all together. It is a book for those who dare to be different but expect that not everybody will get it. Some of your colleagues will need some convincing that these unconventional ideas will work - but they will. Just try it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tools to begin a creative revolution
Since I bought the book about three months ago I've read it a couple of times - certain parts several times.
The book both gives you the tools to re-create a new creative vision for your company or department and the tools to use in everyday life when needing to develop an idea here and now.
One could discuss the line between a hand book and a pure commercial for their own company, and some of the anecdotes certainly are more promotional than illustrative. But that doesn't change the fact that this is a very good place to begin if you could use some help to develop a creative revolution at work!

3.0 out of 5 stars Easy ready with examples for creativity in workplace
A good book that will probably give you a few ideas on how to create a better environment for creativity or innovation. A quick and easy read and not too complicated, however, I guess most of this you probably know, but they organise it well and have provided some good and realistic examples.
