"I like this book a lot, EVEN NOW, by Rosemerry Trommer & Jill Sabella. It shows some of their wonderful talent. And the title- poem brings to mind a Rumi translation that I feel is of such worth it may someday appear in every psychiatrist's office—or get tattooed many places."—Daniel Ladinsky

About the author
Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer lives on the banks of the wild San Miguel River in southwest Colorado with her husband and daughter. She co-hosts Emerging Form (a podcast on creative process), Secret Agents of Change (a surreptitious kindness cabal) and Soul Writer’s Circle. Her poetry has appeared on A Prairie Home Companion, PBS News Hour, O Magazine, American Life in Poetry, on Carnegie Hall stage, and on river rocks she leaves around town. Her collection Hush won the Halcyon Prize. Naked for Tea was a finalist for the Able Muse Book Award. She believes in practice, and since 2006, she’s written a poem a day. These can be read on her blog, A Hundred Falling Veils. Her daily audio series, The Poetic Path, can be found on the Ritual app on your phone. Her new book of poetry prompts is Exploring Poetry of Presence II: Prompts to deepen your writing practice. And her most recent collection of poetry is All the Honey.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2016Jill Sabella and Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer have put their respective lines together to create a book for current times. This book is a little treasure chest (a mere six inches square) full of catalytic gems that resonate with just about any punch life might be dishing out at the moment. Place near workstation or bed or altar for ready access.
Open to any page, and you will likely feel an aha well up within. The same page another day might provoke a different but equally significant response. The true opening is inside the reader—triggered by lines that lead but do not restrict interpretation. Sabella's brush strokes (Zen-like) and Trommer's verse (Haiku-like) are paired three-to-three. Sparse on the page but bountiful in impact. Worth adding, the textured paper delights finger tips.
Although grouped in three sections, these forty-five gems are not sequential (no page numbers). Whatever is swirling around you, simply open anywhere, and pause. Having had this book at my side through recent upsets, I applaud the title, elaborated in verse:
even now, even now,
even now, even now, even now,
even now, bow
Sabella and Trommer share an appreciation for simplicity. Their collaboration is simply beautiful. As they predict in the introduction, I found that indeed: poem and image are two pieces awaiting the reader who becomes the third collaborator in synchronicity. Quoting verses without their paired images does not do justice—you can sample the pairings on artist and author websites, but these pale compared to the impact of the book in hand.
My recommendation? Add this book to your arsenal for getting through life. Open it frequently—starting now.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2017Here is some wine-tasting from this beautiful little book, from the opening pages:
my heart an apple blossom
afraid it does not know
how to become an apple
But reading this book will help evolve ya. And love the haiku format.
Big congrats to you Rosemerry and Jill. And thanks,
