“For a love to have the capacity to destroy you, it has to be extraordinarily powerful - and that kind of love is impossible to walk away from” this is on the first page of the first chapter of the book and I can tell you that sums up this book so perfectly I really couldn’t word it any better. “For a book to have the capacity to destroy you, it has to be extraordinarily powerful - and that kind of book is impossible to walk away from”. The only spoiler I will give is if you are on the fence, don’t be. I promise hating the author for giving you all the feels will be worth it. How is this book not number one on all platforms? I never thought I could love a book as much as A Love Letter to Whiskey, The Words or Royally Savage and then I read Bared Souls. Just wow. The way Ellie wrote makes you feel every emotion the characters feel. I feel like my heart was just put into a blender then put back together with a glue stick only to be shattered again, and yet I want to read it all over again just to feel it all again. What can I say, I am a a glutton for punishment. I already purchase the first two books Bared Souls and Kindred Souls on Kindle and thanks to the authors notes went ahead and got Chasing Memories while I was at it. I have a feeling all I will be reading for the next month are Ellie Wade books.

I have felt all of the feelings in this book. I made me sad, a bit irritated, angry for the child in bit the main character and the love interest. I appreciate the way they loved one another and how two people can grow in a love as deep and epic as theirs both in spite of and because of their trauma. Healing love like that is wow.

Firstly, I am 54 and I read A LOT. I bought this book as a tiktok recommendation and thought I'd try it.

Let me just say it is very much a YA book. Think 19 yr old can't live without you kinda book that repeats most of the same dialog to the point the story (which had AMAZING potential) gets lost.

I got bored around chapter 30 and wanted to stop reading but I'm not a quitter dang it, so I finished. I thought it would improve. But the story jumped time so much there wasn't any way to get invested. And why on earth would you not have a Leo chapter after the incident to describe what happened?! Uggghhh!

The story of a young couple who battle against tragedies and lives heartache 's , is one that will leave you raw . The realistic telling adds to it depth and you could almost swear that this was a story based on your own best friend.
