The Abolition of Sex: How the “Transgender” Agenda Harms Women and Girls Kindle Edition

4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars 361 ratings

As seen on Tucker Carlson Tonight!

"Dansky’s book,
The Abolition of Sex, isn’t written in the same kind of fulminating, entertainingly rageful prose, but it is a persuasive exercise in no-bullshit argumentation. I recommend it even to people who are inclined to disagree with her." —Matt Taibbi, Meet the Censored: Kara Dansky

The so-called “transgender” agenda is a misogynistic assault on the rights, privacy, and safety of women and girls—and is being fueled by a massive, vicious, and well-funded industry.

Most Americans do not understand the real threat that the “transgender” agenda, or the so-called “gender identity” movement, poses to all of us—especially women and girls—nor do they understand the extent to which it is taking over U.S. law and civil society. The simple truth is that “gender identity” functions to abolish sex, and all of our civic institutions—government, media, academia, and business—have been completely captured by it. We have been told that “transgender” is a word to describe a marginalized group of people who are in need of civil rights protection; it is not. Instead, it is an incoherent word that is being used to advance a much broader agenda. There are many people—including people on the political left—who understand the threat that enshrining “gender identity” in law and society poses, but they are silenced when they try to speak out. This book shines a light on the truth about “gender identity,” the “transgender” agenda, the very real threats that they pose to all of society—specifically to the rights, privacy, and safety of women and girls—and what the global Women’s Human Rights Campaign is doing to fight back.

The trans movement with massive funding by billionaires and acceptance by media has insinuated itself by stealth into every aspect of our societies. It is viciously harmful to vulnerable children of both sexes, but especially to girls. It is aimed at the destruction of feminism and women's rights, at the acclimatization of people to the desires for bodily transformation (think cyborgs) of the transhumanists, the acceptance of fetishists and fetishes, BDSM, prostitution, pornography, commercial surrogacy, and pedophilia, and self-identification without hormones, medicalization, or gender certificate. I don't believe children or adults should be medicalized. I don't believe children should have their sexuality and their bodies stunted and have to live with life-long illnesses brought about by puberty blockers and the administration of cross sex hormones. This is a monstrous movement. The left has fallen for it hook, line, and sinker. Parts of the right as well. We must get it out of our schools and universities. There is no such thing as trans. There are a great many disturbed young and older people with mental health problems. oI have come to see this movement as a men's sexual rights movement organized by a great many sexual predators. The activists pushing this pernicious movement that asserts children can be born in the wrong body and that the only answer is to change sex (it is impossible to change sex) are at the head of a massive social experiment that is regressive, not progressive, and physically and psychologically harmful. It is destroying the lives of our vulnerable children and destroying families. Many of the children susceptible to its claims are autistic (a group known for their black and white thinking and inability to resist propaganda), many are victims themselves of abuse (psychological, physical, and/or sexual), many have parents who fear homosexuality and would rather see their children as trans than live as homosexuals. The movement wants us to outlaw conversion therapy but in reality the movement is transing children and adolescents who if left alone to go through puberty would become lesbians, gays, or bisexuals. So they are really guilty of conversion therapy in doing so. Media and the governments in the English-speaking world and elsewhere in the West have accepted this movement as a social justice movement. It is not a social justice movement. It is a massive gas lighting campaign against women's rights, women's reality, reality itself. It is sucking in so many young girls because being a girl is truly awful in today's society saturated with porn and abuse and vitriol aimed at females. Boys are falling victim as well. It is a regressive movement that relies on stereotypes and the most blatant lies and hypocrisies. One of these lies is the high suicide rates of trans people. It is also homophobic. It denies same sex attraction and particularly attacks lesbians. Why? Because these activists are primarily heterosexual males who cross dress (in other words, transvestites) who resent women, actually hate them. Why? Because they are autogynephilic. They are men who are in love with themselves in the image of a woman's body. They have the nerve to assert they are feminist. That they have the right to transgress the safe places set aside for vulnerable women. That they deserve women's literary awards, political positions, ad infinitum. That they are lesbian. They destroy their own families in doing so. And the Western world bows down to these men, letting them compete against women and girls in sports when it the physiological differences in strength, speed, and other indices that differentiate males from females are well-known by every honest person and are operable in sport. We now have male sex offenders (rapists, killers of women and children) in women's prisons in the US, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand as well as various European countries. These men say they are women. They are not. They are either opportunistic males who want an easier time in women's prisons and access to female prey. There are actual victims of these men. Prison authorities and governments ignore these women. Women have organized to fight this movement and to bring the stories of women in prison to a greater awareness. At the same time research indicates that men who say they are women have a much higher incidence of sex crimes than men who know they are men. Some men who dress as women have spoken out against the activists and have stood with women and girls against the movement. Kara Dansky has written a brilliant, accessible book laying out the lies of this ideology, its origin (in sexology and queer theory, which grew out of postmodernism----queer theory has always been about men and about the destruction of feminism). It deserves to be read by all persons with an open mind. This movement is a massive social contagion. We must wake up from this latest departure from reality that media, governments, and our formerly respected institutions have led us: into madness. It is a major medical scandal. We are seeing once again the clinical community being the victims as well as the perpetrators of another massive hoax but this one of such scope that it has the audacity to aim at nothing less than the undermining of who we are as human beings and to destroy the hated feminine once and for all. (Dictionaries have fallen right in in changing the definition of woman; no such change has been made to the definition of man, however.) All too many females have fallen for it, for a variety of reasons: Out of confusion, a desire to protect, out of self-hatred, out of a desire to transcend the body that has been the victim of so much abuse and vilification in order to become strong and powerful as they believe males are. Feminine males are doing so in order to escape the belief that they are not real men, according to the straightjacket devised by society to define femininity and masculinity. In doing so, whether female or male, they are in reality destroying themselves. Most second wave feminists desired and continue to desire that human beings be allowed to be who they are, without society dictating how they dress, who they love, what pursuits they engage in., in other words, the destruction of the stereotypes that bind our personalities and deform them. Transgenderism on the other hand seeks to concretize the harmful, regressive myths of femininity and masculinity. Whole new kinds of porn are now offered for males who see themselves as female, indeed it is grooming them into this belief: scenarios of forced feminization marked by cruelty, masochism, sadism and filled with stereotypes. Anyone who desires to look into this movement further should seek out Graham Linehan, Genevieve Gluck, and Jennifer Bilek, among others. I especially recommend Gluck and Bilek who have done a lot of research into the darkness of this movement. Pedophilia is now openly discussed as an identity like any other. Gender has replaced sex. There are only two sexes: male and female and two genders: femininity and masculinity. Those who call themselves trans should have the same rights we all have, but are increasingly under threat now: the right to be free from discrimination in housing, education, health care. They should not have women's rights and the right to transgress the boundaries of vulnerable women and girls and commandeer the rights and honors of natal females. The ideology has invaded revered cultural institutions such as Girl Guides, Girl Scouts, and midwifery and doula organizations. Outrageous. Safe guarding is thrown out the window in favor of a mendacious "social justice" movement that destroys and rights of women and children. So-called civil liberties organizations such as Amnesty and the ACLU have been taken over by this movement. Activists are actively grooming vulnerable children as young as kindergarteners to believe they are born in the wrong body and that they must transition to the opposite sex. Clinicians and other professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, are pushing harmful puberty blockers on young children followed by cross sex hormones followed by surgeries. Girls as young as ten have had their breasts removed at the hands of surgeons who gloat over it. Girls and adolescents are having their reproductive organs removed. Young boys their genitals. They are then ripe for further medicalization. This is medical malpractice of the gravest kind. Whole industries have grown up to cater to the movement and are making some people very rich. But because the activists have hitched on to a genuine social justice movement for the acceptance of same sex attraction so many people have come out in support. Many more though have been afraid to voice their deep concern about what is happening to women, to men, to parents, and to our children and adolescents. Read Dansky's book as well as the books by Helen Joyce, Janice G. Raymond, and Kathleen Stock. Dansky's book is a good place to begin. The fight is on. Many new groups have organized to fight this madness that is hiding in plain sight under the guise of social justice. New groups for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, new parent groups, new therapist groups, new groups fighting this movement in our schools and universities have come up like Sex Matters, Transgender Trends. Mumsnet, a site in the UK for mothers, is in the fight. Cases have been fought in our courts, which are thoroughly imbued with trans ideology. Lesbian and Gay News is a source of news as is Quilette in Canada and The Critic in the UK. Mentally ill people of any age deserve our respect and treatment. Some of the men pushing this movement are seriously mentally ill. Others cannot defined so but are seriously working against the interests of women and children. Nothing has brought home to me the depth of misogyny and homophobia in the West like the trans movement. How else could it have achieved such success on the basis of lies. Massive funding has sped it along to its victories. Is it in reality a movement of sexual predators. I have come to believe so. Join us in the fight to protect all our rights.

This book is well researched and written in a straightforward, easy to read style that is accessible to the layperson. But more important than the writing style is the way Dansky (a lifelong liberal, contradicting media depictions of anyone who questions the trans agenda as a right-wing conservative) refuses to flinch from the topic. She pulls no punches in order to placate a society that has turned its back on biology and reality in obedience to the almighty trans agenda.

This book makes it very clear that the rights of women and girls in the United States, won after decades of sacrifice and labor by our mothers and grandmothers, are being blithely handed away again by the very groups that women think are protecting them, in order to serve an impossible idea: that men who say they feel like women literally ARE women. Even worse, skyrocketing numbers of American children are being groomed into agreeing to be permanently sterilized, even surgically altered, before they're old enough to have any idea what that could possibly mean for their lives.

This is an important book. It should be in every public and university library in the United States, and read by every woman.

Kara Dansky is an attorney that reveals the reality of trans ideology and its effects on biological women and girls. She does so from her lawyer background and mentions various court cases in the book . Dansky writes about how the trans movement affects women's and girls rights, privacy and sometimes safety such as women's prison facilities. An ideology that changes and redefines biological sex replacing it with gender and pronouns of its choice. When a biological man can identify as a woman and have access to female facilities and women's competitive sports (subjects addressed in the book). There was a man where my husband had worked that decided to identify as a woman and used the women's restroom. Some employees made comments to supervisors. However, H.R. (Human Relations) just told employees not to comment. When this happens biological women are dismissed in the process and the designation biological gets thrown under the bus. Science has been subverted by a progressive political agenda that has been influenced and tainted by an ideology that makes up its own rules.

The Trans industry is a lucrative business, though, and surgeons and Big Pharma make lots of money in the process off puberty-blockers and cross hormones which an individual who has transitioned needs to take for life to remain that way. How much has social media fueled this ideology among young people too? Seeing and listening to celebrities in the limelight who trans and get attention for doing so. However, for young people "the fix" isn't a glamorous process (especially surgical alterations) and instead of a hyped up media response like those of celebrities can cause a new set of problems and/or medical issues.
Sweden is the first country to step back on transgender policies now restricting puberty blockers and surgeries to minors. Finland and Norway are reassessing their policies as well. It would serve to learn some lessons from those countries.

There are a number of reviews here on Amazon that clearly aim to mislead readers as to the contest of the book; and rather than engage any of its arguments or attempt any sort of critique, they simply throw out slurs and ad hominem attacks. ... Please disregard such attacks; they are clearly made in bad faith!

The issues raised in this book are of genuine and urgent public interest. Even if you end up disagreeing with the author, it is very much worthwhile hearing her out ... with a fair-minded and open approach. Simply put: I highly recommend this book! Please read it for yourself, and having done so, tell your friends and family about it. I have done so myself, and although it led to some difficult conversations with a few people, the overall basic claims being made by Ms. Dansky have been well-received by the vast majority of the people I have discussed it with.

I thought we made important progress on the liberation of women and baseless sex-stereotypes. Until I stumpled upon lobbying groups and legislative changes that replace biological sex with the concept of 'gender identity'.

While this may sound harmless, it has far-reaching consequences, from the erasure of words to describe individuals that are biologically female, to the complete errosion of saveguarding principles. This includes not only allowing intact males to use women's changing rooms, claiming prizes for women only, but ultimately destroys lesbian communities and women's sports. Maybe most sickening is the fact that male rapist are housed with vulnerable women in jail, if they claim a "female gender identity".

It sounds dystopian but has become reality, especially in the US.

Kara Dansky describes the background and consequences of gender ideology focusing mainly on the US. I was familiar with the topic, and thus most of the content did not come as a surprise to me, but the clear, precise writing style of Kara Dansky made reading the book an absolute pleasure. It is a valuable resource, both for getting an overview of the theory underlying gender identity ideology, and the multiple ways in which this negatively affects women and girls specifically. A multitude of examples from real live illustrates the dire consequences.

A must read for anyone who sincerely cares about the rights of women born female.

内容はヘレン・ジョイスの「トランス」のアメリカ版といった感じかな?
