What sets her apart from many instructors is that in addition to the basic explanation of materials and methods, she explains her thought process along the way and why she is making her creative decisions in each step-by-step practice example found in the book. This is not a "once and done" book. I see myself returning to these pages many times in the coming months/years as I develop my Urban Sketching style.
