4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 132 ratings

Her Temporary Cowboy

Attorney Jackson Harris regularly goes toe-to-toe with the world’s toughest lawyers—but none of them compare to Lucy Maxwell. The feisty director of Oklahoma’s Big Heart Ranch for orphans is as stubborn as she is pretty. But Jack must stay focused; he’s only there to evaluate the ranch’s funding. Falling for Lucy and the sweet children she protects is out of the question. Though Lucy is determined to keep the ranch, she’s not about to give control to a city slicker—even a devastatingly good-looking one. But as they bump heads, Jack and Lucy gradually nudge open their hearts. Could a temporary cowboy become a permanent part of Lucy’s life?

Tina Radcliffe has penned another winner. If you like cowboys, or even wanna-be cowboys, you will love Claiming Her Cowboy.
Lucy works as the director of Big Heart Ranch, very appropriate with her big, generous heart for orphan children. Having been orphaned herself at a young age, Lucy's lifelong ambition is to make life better however she can for children who find themselves in the same situation. She's successful, good at what she does and loves her work, but can she see past her Plan B long enough to make Plan A work?
Jack is a big city lawyer carrying a burden since childhood too large for anyone to shoulder. He finds himself signing on as a volunteer with Big Heart Ranch at the insistence of his aunt, the wealthy benefactress of the ranch. Will time spent with the children who need love so much enable Jack to drop the shields from his own heart long enough to find the love he craves?
In Claiming Her Cowboy, Ms. Radcliffe weaves a tale that will pull at your heartstrings as you hold your breath wondering if Lucy can make her dreams for the ranch into reality, hoping the children at Big Heart Ranch find the love they need, and turning pages in search of the elusive HEA you will so want Lucy and Jack to find together. It's a book to read and reread to believe in the power of hope and proof that true love conquers all.

Proof positive that book tours work! I hadn’t read Tina Radcliffe before I participated in a tour for one of her books. Now, I am in the process of collecting all of her backlist. Claiming Her Cowboy is the first in this series about three siblings.

I love Tina’s writing. You are immediately drawn into her stories. Her characters are so real and you can’t help but be drawn into their lives. Her books are just like her tag line says, full of heart, humor, and faith!

Jackson and Lucy are perfect for each other. I loved their playful banter and their relationship was perfectly paced. I also loved the relationship between Jackson and his little buddy Dub. I just ordered Christmas with the Cowboy and can’t wait to get it and dig into Emma’s story.

A story of conquering stubbornness, desire for full control of all details, lagging faith, some horses & a pile of kids.
They were both stubborn! They both had a sad past. He took blame for his brother's death. She took charge of her siblings & thought she should have saved her parents.
The general & a little boy taught them life lessons.

Claiming Her Cowboy is an absolutely splendid book. Tina Radcliffe sure knows how to pack a powerhouse of emotions into these little Love Inspired Harlequins and she certainly does with Lucy and Jack’s story. The addition of the adorable foster triplets little Dub, Ann and Eva just add icing to the cake. I don’t think I have ever been so moved with emotions as I was this wonderful little book. I have most assuredly added Tina Radcliffe to my list of favorite authors. I look forward to reading more books by this Awesome Talented author in the very near Future.

...and I loved everything about it. From the author’s way with words to the sweetness of the story. I love any story on a ranch that’s part of a series and with strong Christians trying to figure out life. As a mom of two adoptive children, I love the happy ending for the triplets. An easy, fun, sweet, and endearing read. I’m looking forward to the others in the series.

Loved this book! Lucy Maxwell is funny, sassy and stubborn, and just vulnerable enough to have the reader rooting for her from Page One. Jack Harris is her equal...especially when it comes to being stubborn. Watching their relationship develop and unfold is truly entertaining. Radcliffe has a way with words, especially playful banter, that just shines. Throw in a cast of lovable supporting characters-including adorable triplets-and it's another heart-warming, hope-filled read that will leave you wanting more. Looking forward to book two!

As usual, this author delivered! This could be my favorite story yet by Tina Radcliffe. I loved the setting--who wouldn't? I have found memories of summer camp and Big Heart Ranch hit all the right notes. I loved the spunk of this heroine's never give up attitude. The romance kept me turning the pages and I love how the characters change and grow. I can't wait to read the next one.

This story caught my heart with its storyline of an orphan ranch. The characters were very likable and authentic, ones you wanted to turn the pages quicker to see what they were doing next. This was the first book I've read by this talented author, and it won't be my last by a long shot.
