Book cover of Doctor Who: Shada: The Lost Adventures by Douglas Adams

Sherrie DeMorrow ❤️ loved this book because...

It was an excellent depiction of a Doctor Who episde, originally written by Douglas Adams. It was left unfinished until recent years, when they put it together with animation and live shots. In watching this episode, I wanted to read the book and I was not disappointed.

What is this book about?

The Doctor's old friend and fellow Time Lord Professor Chronotis has retired to Cambridge University - where nobody will notice if he lives for centuries. But now he needs help from the Doctor, Romana and K-9. When he left Gallifrey he took with him a few little souvenirs - most of them are harmless. But one of them is extremely dangerous. The Worshipful and Ancient Law of Gallifrey isn't a book for Time Tots. It is one of the Artefacts, dating from the dark days of Rassilon. It must not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands. My 2nd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of The Evil of the Daleks

Sherrie DeMorrow ❤️ loved this book because...

I loved Evil of the Daleks because it was a missing episode of Doctor Who and, as a novel, it is very detailed in its scope of the storyline. It flowed well and it made it easier to imagine the missing parts of the show. Only one episode exists and, in reading this novel, I was able to tell which part of the book was the actual episode. It was fun to do that, as well as enjoy the story in general.

This is a brand new novelization of a classic…

My 3rd favorite read in 2024

Book cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Sherrie DeMorrow ❤️ loved this book because...

I had read Hitchikers Guide over 30 years ago and revisited it after watching the TV version. It was as good as I remembered, but it was a little verbose in its viewpoint. There were tangents that wavered on a bit, but overall, it was still as wonderous as I thought it was in the past.
