JUST WOW
This series just hooks you. All of Shantel's books do. I fell in LOVE with this series along with many others by her. I will be honest, it was not what I was expecting. From the first chapter I could not put it down. The characters are everything and you never know what is coming. I was thrown for so many loops, I cried, Laughed, Cursed, probably more emotions but want to keep this short and sweet. Just READ IT. You will NOT be disappointed. Just an FYI - I bought all the books when I was only halfway through the first book, yeah - they are THAT GOOD. She is the QUEEN of Dark romance.

Holy hell this book was so good. I could NOT put it down. When I wasn’t reading it I was constantly thinking about it. The book was so well written and the plot ? *chefs kiss* I loved everything about this book and i genuinely wouldn’t change a thing. It was spicy, emotional, and so thrilling. I was constantly trying to guess what was happening and I couldn’t! Shantel got me so good with this one. Go, go, go read right now ! It’s a good one !!!!

This book was something else. Wow. I'm going to try to give a spoiler free review, but my brain just got messed up.. okay so I hated this book at first. Like it started off sorta interesting but with zero insta lust or anything. Yeah it was a little of a mystery or suspense in the beginning, but I usually have to have chemistry between characters or something good to hold on to to continue reading a book if you know what I'm saying.. and this one had none. It was full blown enemies to lovers. It was that all the way up until the last two hours or so of the book. There was a lot of repetition between the characters and not enough of the story behind the beginning murder. It was just a lot of bickering and s3x between Cole and Austin. It was nice, but when you start off a book with murder and stuff it kinda needs to equal out with the s3x.. for me at least. Anyways.. the book definitely picked up on the plot and made me start asking a lot of questions. Some that weren't answered, but will hopefully be answered in book two. As I pushed through reading I noticed how easy it was to read this book. The chapters flowed magnificently and it was honestly hard to put down because of it. Like there wasn't a good stopping point. I really enjoyed the last two-ish hours of the book. Made me fall in love with Deke a little bit.. definitely not Cole. He's nice, but there's something about Deke and Becky that makes me excited for their book. I did like Cole, but he's ehh. Lol. I had to guessed a few of the events, but in the end it pretty much shook me. Like I was thinking "what did I just read?!".. the author made my head spin with the epilogue.. I don't know what else to say about the ending without giving it away. Loved the ending. Just loved it. This book is definitely and probably the most accurate enemies to lovers I've read. I may have hated it in the beginning, but I loved it in the end. 100% worth the time. 4.9/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m not usually into high school stories but this was a pleasant surprise! Great characters, great storyline! It’s a must read! Shantel Tessier never fails you!!

Wow, I have to say this book snatched me up in the beginning and never let me go. This is a stand-alone, dark romance. The main characters are seniors in high school but they are welllll beyond their years. Important thing to note before reading: DARK romance. The main male character is no angel, he’s an a$$.... and I should probably wonder what that says about me that I loved him, but my point is that if you are expecting a happy go lucky romance, don’t read the book and then give it a bad review because the characters aren’t perfect. It’s a dark romance for a reason!!

Anyways, our book is about a girl sent to love with her father and witnesses something she shouldn’t have. She’s then thrown to the sharks and brought into their world of “dares” and taking justice/revenge into their own hands. I loved the female lead, Austin. She was just the right amount of fierce and pushover lol she fought back for sure, there was a couple of times where I ended up with an evil smile on my face sooo proud of her actions. And of course there were times that I wish she would have worked harder to get her questions answered. Girls been through the ringer in her life, she definitely got the crap end of the stick when it comes to parents. Cole wants to break her, but he doesn’t know that she’s already broken. She’s his equal in every way. I loved watching him fight and slowly realize his feelings for her. This was definitely instant attraction, but definitely not insta love. What started out as a game, ended up becoming a true soul deep love.

I do wish the author would have told us why Cole did what he did when it comes to an accident that happened six months before Austin moves to town (don’t want to give too much away). I don’t know if I missed it, but I never found out why he lied about what happened. It doesn’t ruin the story for me, but I would have liked to know lol

Overall, I thought this was an excellent dark romance. tons of emotions, and a believable plot. Great writing style. I can’t wait to read dekes book next!

Re-reading this book after several years and it was still enjoyable. The twist and turns kept me guessing and the push and pull between Austin and Cole was engaging.
I would say the book is mid-tier spice since most of the spicy scenes are cut short, but the storyline makes up for that in my opinion. However, my big issue with the book is that there is a major plot hole that is never resolved/explained. The epilogue just kind of writes off a major plot point with no explanation. I’m sure if this is resolved in later books in the series, but with the way the epilogue wraps everything in a neat bow I’m doubtful.
Still a good read overall.

"I dare you" is the first bully romance I've ever read. I didn't think I would love it so much. In fact, I didn't know what to expect, but with that cover I could not read it... (have you seen it? It's freaking gorgeous!) It's a turn pager that has you in the edge of your seat! I'm loving Cole, in spite all the coldness and the blood... who would have thought?

This book was insane, it was crazy, lots of what the hell is happening right now but I say this in like in the best way possible.

I was recommended this book by my book buddies and I am so glad I one clicked and read it. This book sort of reminded me of Corrupt by Penelope Douglas, B.B. Reid Fear me series and Amo Jones Elite kings series.

From the moment I started this book, I was intrigued and couldn’t put it down. It sucked when I had to put it down because I had work otherwise I would have had this book read already. One thing I loved was that it was a long book but I wish there was more. Especially more in the years after.

God I loved cole, he was insufferable at times. He was cold, rude, ruthless, craves pain, blood and fighting. His story will make you feel all the feels, the pain, the suffering and the guilt he has been dealing with. He was devious. He was dangerous. He was angry most of the time. You didn’t know whether to give him a hug or shake him to wake him up. But one thing you can’t help but do, is love him.

Austin, the heroine, I love her. She is goals, she feisty, stubborn and so strong. Loved that she could stand up for herself and could give as good as she takes. She is someone cole needs, he needs someone with her strength and that is what makes these two perfect for one another.

When new girl in town Austin Lowes finds herself in the sights of the crew of dangerous men where they like to play games. A game called I dare you! It instantly becomes a battle of daring to beat Cole and his friends in their dangerous and daring games. But when lines get crossed between her and Cole, will his need for Austin's blood and fear get in the way of final justice and vengeance.

With the connection and chemistry they have and the secrets and lies being revealed, will it be too late to tell each other how they really feel.

Boy was this book good , so good in fact. I’m so sad to say goodbye to all the characters. Especially cole, Austin, deke, Becky, Shane and Bennett.

It starts out as torture, as a game & they absolutely hate each other. There were twists and turns. Secrets and lies. Blood and death, and revenge, lots of revenge.
