Book cover of The Tiffany Girls

Lois Winston Why did I love this book?

I have a background in art and design and have always loved Tiffany’s stained glass creations. Like so many people, I thought he was solely responsible for the designs that bore his name.

The Tiffany Girls tells the story of the talented women responsible for many of the works attributed to him. This meticulously researched historical novel is a brilliant blending of fact and fiction. It goes a long way toward giving these talented women the recognition they so rightly deserve by weaving their story into a page-turning fictional tale about a young Parisian artist who travels to America in the hope of working for Tiffany.

What is this book about?

New York Times bestselling author Shelley Noble wows with a gripping historical novel about the real-life "Tiffany Girls," a fascinating and largely unknown group of women artists behind Tiffany's most legendary glassworks.

It's 1899, and Manhattan is abuzz. Louis Comfort Tiffany, famous for his stained-glass windows, is planning a unique installation at the Paris World's Fair, the largest in history. At their fifth-floor studio on Fourth Avenue, the artists of the Women's Division of the Tiffany Glass Company are already working longer shifts to finish the pieces that Tiffany hopes will prove that he is the world's finest artist in…

Book cover of The Man Who Died Twice

Lois Winston Why did I love this book?

With everything going on in the world these days, I find that more and more, I not only need a break from reality, but I need to laugh more.

The Thursday Murder Club series has become a go-to for my three must-haves: an escape from the world, a page-turning whodunit, and lots of laughs along the way.

A good mystery should keep the reader guessing whodunit, but I find that too often, I’ve figured out whodunit very early into a book. This was not the case with The Man Who Died Twice. It’s a page-turning mystery that not only kept me guessing to the very end, but it provided me with lots of laughs along the way. Witty writing, wonderfully unique characters, plenty of laughs, and a great whodunit—what could be better than that?

Book cover of Going Rogue

Lois Winston Why did I love this book?

Stepping into the world of Stephanie Plum is just about the best escape from reality I can ask for. Twenty-nine books into the series, and Evanovich’s inept bail enforcement agent still never fails to disappoint me when I’m in need of a fun read.

Along with a cast of crazy cohorts and even crazier criminals, Stephanie continues to stumble and bumble her way through crime and corruption in Trenton, New Jersey. Yet in spite of herself, she always manages to prevail in the end.

This latest hilarious madcap adventure had me laughing out loud from chapter to chapter. If you need to forget your cares for a few hours, you can’t go wrong with Going Rogue.

What is this book about?

Stephanie Plum breaks the rules, flirts with disaster, and shows who’s boss in this “fast and fun” (Publishers Weekly) thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich.

Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnie’s Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasn’t shown up.

Stephanie’s worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connie’s abductor. He says he…
