The best books on how to reboot your mindset and relationship with financial security

Why am I passionate about this?

I grew up in poverty in the deep south of Georgia in the 80s where heavy racism existed. We survived on food stamps, living in a 2 bedroom wooden house with a tin roof that my grandfather and uncle built. It was a town of three thousand people all living, acting, and believing the same beliefs. Everyone had a poor mindset and thought that life everywhere was the same as ours. By changing the way my mind thinks, I became a banker for 10 years with 15+ years in financial services. I'm now also a 3x author, bestselling author, a Certified Coach and Certified NLP Practitioner, owner of multiple businesses, and live in two countries.

The books I picked & why

Book cover of Think and Grow Rich

André Stewart Why did I love this book?

Think and Grow Rich is a self-help book that was written by Napoleon Hill and first published in 1937.

The book is still one of the bestselling books of all time. For me it changed my perspective on why I should have wealth and how it is selfish not to get rich.

It also taught me self-discipline, and the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded individuals. Not only did it change my perspective on wealth it changed how I viewed people with money and how they attained it.

The book has sold millions of copies worldwide and has been recommended by numerous successful people, including Oprah Winfrey and Tony Robbins. It has been praised for its practical advice and ability to inspire readers to take action toward their goals and dreams.

While some critics argue that the book's focus on individual achievement may come at the expense of social responsibility and community-building, to me it does the opposite as to when you have wealth you’re in a better situation to help more people than just yourself.

Book cover of The Millionaire Mind

André Stewart Why did I love this book?

The Millionaire Mind is a non-fiction book that provides a detailed analysis of the traits and characteristics of millionaires in the United States.

From the outside looking in or from what we are taught you understand that wealth was passed down and most rich people came from money or are extremely smart. Based on reading this book, I understand that it is a false narrative and in fact almost 95% of millionaires are self-made and were B & C students in college.

This book is what helped me actually change my beliefs on becoming a millionaire and made it a reality. Understanding that most millionaires were just like me but looked different and had similar backgrounds, I just followed the steps that they did and achieved the same goal.

This book will actually help you become a millionaire or at least help you understand it’s possible for anyone who applies themselves.

Overall, I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning about the attitude and actions of successful individuals. In order to succeed financially, one can use the book's insights into the behaviors and mindsets of millionaires.

Additionally, the book is thoroughly researched and backs up its claims with real-world examples and experiences.
